Bormioli Pharma, in collaboration with Lapetre, renews its annual co-innovation event focusing on the new frontiers of pharmaceutical packaging.

By bringing together patients and pharmaceutical companies in an unique co-workshop, we aim to collect requests, ideas, and needs related to specific therapeutic areas, transforming these insights into innovative concepts and then into market-ready products.

This workshop represents Bormioli Pharma's open co-innovation process, Invents, a model designed to generate new value and shape the future of healthcare.

Bormioli Pharma Invents' innovation methodology

The workshop is integrated into Bormioli Pharma's innovation programme, a four-stage process that takes place within an ecosystem that goes beyond the company's boundaries and extends to customers - the pharmaceutical companies - and customers' customers, i.e. patients.

Collecting Inspirations

The first phase of this pharmaceutical co-design workshop is that of inspiration, which, through ethnographic research or discussion groups, aims to listen to people and identify, together, their real needs.

Identifying Innovation Opportunities

This is followed by a reworking and discussion phase, aimed at identifying possible innovation opportunities and initiating a creative process based on an open innovation approach and thus open to research centres, universities, start-ups and other technological and scientific organisations.

Co-Developing Innovative Solution

The third step transforms ideas into prototypes and starts the dialogue with the market, through an approach based on the lean start-up methodology called 'fast to product' and the consolidation of an ecosystem of innovators necessary for the realisation of the project.

Building the Business Model

The ultimate goal is to develop sustainable business models that allow prototypes to be transformed into products, and thus get them into people's hands in less time.
