Federico Piutti

Innovation Manager

“Everyday inventive” – Given my role, it might seem obvious, but for me being inventive does not mean being an inventor. It means being an innovation enabler. I always have to think of new ways to generate innovation inside the company and, most importantly, to turn ideas into real solutions.

Passionate about:

I love to spend my leisure time outdoors. I am a mountain enthusiast and I practice any kind of activity taking me to the top: skiing, trekking, climbing and others. Cycling is also essential and I do it everywhere possible. I feed my brain with some good books and guitar music.

Path to Bormioli Pharma:

My passion for innovation began at University. From then onwards, I continued my path across regional and national technology parks. Here I had the opportunity to deal with international R&D projects and programmes of business model innovation. After leaving the world of research, I had significant experience in the innovation branch of an important consulting firm. In this context, I understood the meaning of innovation applied to big corporate groups, also experiencing advanced innovation methodologies and ways to foster corporate entrepreneurship. After two years, I switched to a different consulting firm, where I managed Open Innovation projects and facilitated finance programmes. That’s how I reached Bormioli Pharma, a place where, as Innovation Manager, I am in charge of the creation of an Innovation Governance structure, alongside the development of innovative processes and projects around the product.

My Bormioli Pharma value:

“Everyday inventive” – Given my role, it might seem obvious, but for me being inventive does not mean being an inventor. It means being an innovation enabler. I always have to think of new ways to generate innovation inside the company and, most importantly, to turn ideas into real solutions.

I work here because…

Because in Bormioli Pharma I have a unique opportunity to follow the launch of a comprehensive innovation programme from scratch. Because here things are done in a concrete and solid way, and this is not common in the field of innovation. And finally, because I enjoy having the opportunity to bundle all my past experiences into a single role.
