On shop and supermarket shelves, brands vie for consumer preference. In this battle, packaging plays a vital role.
For this reason, many companies turn to the expertise and experience of Bormioli Pharma to develop customized solutions and make their products stand out from the competition as unique and instantly recognizable
In this case, Bormioli Pharma works with the customer with a view to making its proposal unique and recognizable on the market, while supporting design and industrial aspects. The final result is a product pack that is instantly distinctive in terms of shape, material, design, colour and communicative impact.
Cosmetics bottles with peraly, metallic or iridescent finishes, and tactile as wel las visual effect – like the soft touch effect – add up to a multi-sensorial experience for the consumer.
Bormioli Pharma discusses and develops packs for and with client companies, and then puts them into practice drawing upon its huge range of techniques for aspetcs like colour, hot stamping, silkscreen printing and metallic coatings.
- Technologies decoration: decoration hot, metallization, silk screen
- Tactical Effects: soft touch, Braille
- Wide range of colors and visual effects
Bormioli Pharma's creativity and technological expertise constitute a priceless asset for cosmetics companies seeking personalised impact and tailor-made moulding solutions. In this case, Bormioli Pharma works with the customer with a view to making its proposal unique and recognizable on the market, while supporting design and industrial aspects. The final result is a product pack that is instantly distinctive in terms of shape, material, design, colour and communicative impact.
These are customization projects that can be developed during an extensive design process that can be subdivided into three different stages:
This stage involves a study of the product and its particular characteristics in order to provide the client with a packaging solution that might satisfy its requirements in terms of functionality, aesthetics and uniqueness, all features very much in demand on the market.
The container’s design is after all included in the functional aspect as is the product’s protection during distribution and stocking, along with the capacity to conserve and guarantee standard quality levels.
However, the design also carries an emotional and communicational content that must bear in mind completeness of product information and an attractiveness that might invite customers to touch and purchase the product and make it very recognisable.
The R&D team then go ahead and identify the optimal solution by selecting the material that guarantees the best possible results, the most efficient technology, based on the client’s brief, and a study of possible shape and colour solutions.
A team of highly specialised designers with specific expertise in the various technologies, all working within our technical department, then handle the engineering of the articles and subsequently the preparation of moulds. The output is a three-dimensional study/article of the product within a computer program thanks to which one can establish the shape of the container and/or its fastening/closing system.
At this stage, in order to provide the client with a first contact with the packaging, Bormioli Pharma can provide a fast prototyping service.
- Mould design
Once the study/article and the prototype have been accepted by the client the mould design process is set in motion. A very multi-faceted and complex process which involves the verification, already at this early stage, of the conditions under which the production process will take place. This is made possible thanks to very sophisticated software, including simulation programs, which enable optimization of the packaging’s production process.
- Creation of pilot and industrial moulds
One then proceed with the production of the prototype mould which gives the client the opportunity of receiving a limited number of sample products in a relatively short space so that it may assess the impact of the packaging on its packaging production lines.
Once the client’s approval is received the workshop is assigned the delicate task of producing the industrial mould, which is perfected and then tested by specialised personnel.
Once the finished products has been found to comply with the specifications and registration requirements and production parameters have been optimised, a sampling program is devised and the tests on the client’s production lines are planned in order to optimize the product’s production process.
Once certification has been completed the article and all the required equipment is put into production.
- Technical assistance
This essentially takes place in two stages: during the product’s industrialisation (start up) and during the pack production optimization process performed directly on the commissioning company’s own production lines.
